  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • vanilla
  • milk - 3 c
  • flour - 8 Tbsp
  • brown sugar - 3 c
  • butter - 6 Tbsp
  • egg yolks - 4 item
  • cream of tartar - 1/4 tsp
  • pie crust - 1 item
  • Stir well

How to make butterscotch pie:

Mix all ingredients. Stir well. Heat until becomes thickened. Remove from heat and place in baked pie shell. Top with meringue. Place in 350° oven until meringue is golden brown.Meringue:4 egg whites1/4 tsp. cream of tartar1/3 c. sugar1 tsp. vanilla Combine egg whites and tartar. Beat until peaks form. Add sugar (1 teaspoon at a time) and vanilla. Beat until stiff. Spread on pies.
