  • milk - 2 c
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • powdered sugar - 6 Tbsp
  • beaten egg yolks - 3 item
  • Add egg yolks, flour, milk and vanilla

How to make butterscotch pie:

Stir first 3 ingredients and cook until thick. Add egg yolks, flour, milk and vanilla. Add this to the syrup mixture and cook until thick; then cool. Pour in baked 9-inch pie shell. Top with meringue and bake until brown.Meringue:3 egg whites6 Tbsp. powdered sugar Beat until quite frothy adding 1 tablespoon powdered sugar at a time. Continue beating until it stands in peaks.
