Ingredients/Components
- vanilla
- milk - 2 c
- flour
- brown sugar - 2 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- powdered sugar - 6 Tbsp
- beaten egg yolks - 3 item
- Add egg yolks, flour, milk and vanilla
How to make butterscotch pie:
Stir first 3 ingredients and cook until thick. Add egg yolks, flour, milk and vanilla. Add this to the syrup mixture and cook until thick; then cool. Pour in baked 9-inch pie shell. Top with meringue and bake until brown.Meringue:3 egg whites6 Tbsp. powdered sugar Beat until quite frothy adding 1 tablespoon powdered sugar at a time.
