Butterscotch cheesecake bars
Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs - 2 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- margarine or butter - 1/3 c
- egg - 1 item
- nuts, chopped - 1 c
- can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk* - 1 oz
How to make butterscotch cheesecake bars:
*Use Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk, not evaporated milk.Preheat oven to 350° (325° for glass dish). In medium saucepan, melt morsels and margarine; stir in crumbs and nuts. Press half the mixture firmly onto bottom of greased 13x9 inch baking pan. In large mixing bowl, beat cheese until fluffy; beat in Eagle Brand milk, vanilla, and egg. Mix well. Pour into prepared pan; top with remaining crumb mixture. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool to room temperature; chill before cutting into bars. Refrigerate leftovers.
