  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs, separated - 6 item
  • soda - 1/2 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • lemon flavoring - 2 tsp
  • Wesson oil - 1 c

How to make buttermilk pound cake:

Blend oil, sugar and egg yolks; add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add lemon flavoring and last fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in tube pan for 1 hour at 350°.
