Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- Crisco - 1 c
- lemon flavoring - 1 tsp
- plain flour, sifted - 3 c
- large eggs room temperature - 3 item
- buttermilk room temperature - 1 c
How to make buttermilk pound cake:
Cream sugar and Crisco. Add milk and flour alternately. Add soda; mix well. Add eggs (one at a time). Add flavoring. Grease and flour tube pan. Bake 1 hour in 350° oven (in a cold oven).Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, For large groups.
