Buttermilk fudge
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- nuts - 1 c
- white sugar - 2 c
- soda scant - 1 tsp
How to make buttermilk fudge:
Mix the buttermilk and soda; let stand 3 minutes. Add sugar and butter. Cook to 238° over medium heat in a heavy aluminum pan, as it will burn easily. Stir constantly. Cool to 125° to 130° without stirring. Add vanilla and 1 scant cup nuts. Beat until creamy. Pour into buttered flat pan.Recipe categories: Desserts, Candy, Fudge.
