Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/3 c
- melted chocolate - 2 oz
How to make brownies:
Combine melted chocolate with shortening and blend well. In another bowl, sift flour, salt and baking powder together. In another bowl, beat eggs and add sugar gradually, beating until very light. Add vanilla and chocolate mixture to egg mixture. Add dry ingredients, spread about 1/2-inch deep in greased paper-lined shallow pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
