Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3/4 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/3 c
- unsweetened chocolate - 2 sq
- broken nuts - 1/2 c
How to make brownies:
Melt together over hot water chocolate and shortening. Beat in sugar and eggs. Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Mix in nuts. Spread in well-greased 8-inch square pan (8 x 8 x 2-inch). Bake until top has dull crust. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. A slight imprint will be left when touched lightly with finger.
