  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3/4 c
  • egg white - 1 item
  • unsalted butter - 1/2 c
  • grated orange zest - 3/4 tsp
  • kosher salt pickling salt - 1/4 tsp

How to make brown edge wafers:

Cream the butter and sugar. Add other ingredients. Beat by hand. Drop on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350°. Watch carefully. Done when edge of cookie is slightly browned. Makes about 35.
