Broccoli mushroom casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- margarine - 5 Tbsp
- paprika - 1 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped green pepper - 2 Tbsp
- mushrooms - 1/2 lb
- broccoli - 1 1
- milk or milk substitute - 2 c
- cheese or cheese substitute - 1 c
How to make broccoli mushroom casserole:
Separate broccoli and cook in 1-inch boiling water for 3 to 5 minutes. Drain. Put in a 9-inch square pan. Melt margarine and blend flour, salt and pepper. Cook and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in milk; add cheese. Saute mushrooms in remaining margarine until tender; add to sauce. Add peppers and cook 1 minute. Pour over broccoli. Sprinkle with cheese and paprika.
