Bread and butter pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 3 c
- confectioners sugar - 1 item
- boiling water - 1 item
- large eggs - 4 item
- soft butter - 5 Tbsp
- slices white bread - 12 item
- berries - 2 c
How to make bread and butter pudding:
Spread butter on bread. Fit 6 slices (butter side down) in an 11 x 7-inch pan. Top with 1 cup of berries. Layer with rest of bread and berries.Whisk eggs with sugar, then whisk in milk. Pour over bread, pressing gently. Let stand 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°. Set pan in a larger pan and fill outer pan with 1 inch of boiling water. Bake 50 minutes.
