  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • milk - 3 c
  • confectioners sugar - 1 item
  • boiling water - 1 item
  • large eggs - 4 item
  • soft butter - 5 Tbsp
  • slices white bread - 12 item
  • berries - 2 c

How to make bread and butter pudding:

Spread butter on bread. Fit 6 slices (butter side down) in an 11 x 7-inch pan. Top with 1 cup of berries. Layer with rest of bread and berries.

Whisk eggs with sugar, then whisk in milk. Pour over bread, pressing gently. Let stand 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 350°. Set pan in a larger pan and fill outer pan with 1 inch of boiling water. Bake 50 minutes.
