Blarney stones
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- eggs, separated - 4 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- boiling water - 1 c
- margarine
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- roasted peanuts - 1 lb
How to make blarney stones:
Frosting:1/2 lb. margarine1 box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 lb. roasted peanuts Beat egg yolks until thick. Add sugar and gradually mix well. Add boiling water and whip until foamy. Add flour, baking powder and vanilla. Mix well. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into mixture.Pour into large baking pan, greased and floured. Bake in 325° oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut into small squares. Frost on all sides and roll in chopped nuts.
Frosting: Cream all ingredients until fluffy.
