Black-eyed peas and spareribs
Ingredients/Components
- packed brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- paprika - 1 tsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chili powder - 2 tsp
- dry white wine - 1/2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- small onion, sliced - 1 item
- cans black-eyed peas, drained - 2 oz
- spareribs, cut into 3-inch pieces - 1 lb
How to make black-eyed peas and spareribs:
Saute onion and garlic in oil in 4 or 5-quart pot or skillet. Add spareribs and brown. Sprinkle with paprika, add peas, water and wine. Cover and simmer 1 hour, until ribs are tender.
