Best ever chocolate cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- water - 1 c
- cocoa - 10 Tbsp
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- powdered sugar - 1 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
How to make best ever chocolate cake:
White Icing:5 Tbsp. flour1 c. powdered sugar1/4 tsp. salt1/2 c. butter1 c. milk1/2 c. Crisco1 tsp. vanilla For Cake: Over medium heat, combine water, cocoa and margarine. Bring to simmer, stirring. When it "curdles" or slightly separates, remove from heat. Set aside. Sift the 2 cups flour into large bowl and remove 2 tablespoons. Add the sugar and chocolate mixture. Mix at medium speed for 2 minutes. Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk. Stir the eggs and the buttermilk mixture into the flour/chocolate mixture. Beat 2 minutes. Pour into 2 greased and floured 8 or 9-inch pans or a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes.For Icing: Cook flour and milk together until thick and creamy. Cool completely. Mix remaining ingredients together and beat for 3 to 5 minutes. Add flour mixture and mix for 5 minutes or until fluffy.
