  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • water - 1 c
  • cocoa - 10 Tbsp
  • sticks margarine - 2 item
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • powdered sugar - 1 c
  • Crisco - 1/2 c

How to make best ever chocolate cake:

White Icing:5 Tbsp. flour1 c. powdered sugar1/4 tsp. salt1/2 c. butter1 c. milk1/2 c. Crisco1 tsp. vanilla For Cake: Over medium heat, combine water, cocoa and margarine. Bring to simmer, stirring. When it "curdles" or slightly separates, remove from heat. Set aside. Sift the 2 cups flour into large bowl and remove 2 tablespoons. Add the sugar and chocolate mixture. Mix at medium speed for 2 minutes. Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk. Stir the eggs and the buttermilk mixture into the flour/chocolate mixture. Beat 2 minutes. Pour into 2 greased and floured 8 or 9-inch pans or a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes.

For Icing: Cook flour and milk together until thick and creamy. Cool completely. Mix remaining ingredients together and beat for 3 to 5 minutes. Add flour mixture and mix for 5 minutes or until fluffy.
