  • flour - 2/3 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • double-acting baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • salad oil - 1 item
  • beer - 1/3 c

How to make beer batter:

In bowl with fork, mix first 3 ingredients. In another bowl, beat together beer, egg and 2 tablespoons of oil; stir liquid into flour mixture. Deep fry chicken until done. Works great on onion rings, too.
