Beef paprika
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
- water
- shortening - 1/4 c
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- paprika - 2 tsp
- catsup - 3/4 c
- small clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- dash of cayenne pepper - 1 item
- Worcestershire - 2 Tbsp
- hot cooked noodles - 3 c
- sliced onions - 1 c
- beef chuck or round, cut into 1-inch cubes - 2 lb
How to make beef paprika:
Melt shortening in Dutch oven. Add meat, onion and garlic; cook and stir until meat is brown and onion is tender. Stir in catsup, Worcestershire, sugar, salt, paprika, mustard, cayenne and 1 1/2 cups water. Cover; simmer for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Blend flour and 1/4 cup water; stir gradually into meat mixture. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Serve over hot noodles.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, One Dish meal.
