Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour
- water - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- soybean oil - 3 c
- fresh cod fillets - 2 lb
How to make batter dipped fish:
Heat oil in deep pan to about 400°. Cut fish into 7 x 2-inch wedges. With mixer, blend flour, water, egg, sugar and salt. Dip fish into batter, coating well. Quickly drop into oil. Fry each fillet until dark golden brown, about 5 minutes. DrainRecipe categories: Main dish, Saltwater fish, Cod.
