Barbecue spareribs
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 3 Tbsp
- water - 3/4 c
- vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 3 Tbsp
- catsup - 3/4 c
- mustard - 1 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- spareribs - 2 3
How to make barbecue spareribs:
In heavy frypan, brown ribs in 3 to 4 tablespoons shortening. (Cast-iron Dutch oven is excellent.) Put all other ingredients in 2-quart pan and bring to a full boil, stirring occasionally. Place all ribs in frypan and cover with sauce. Bake at 325° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until tender; baste occasionally.Recipe categories: Weeknight, Main dish, Oven.
