Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- cider vinegar - 3/4 c
- garlic salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- barbecue sauce - 1 item
- Crisco or oil - 2 Tbsp
- beef or pork ribs - 7 lb
- large sliced or chopped onion - 1 item
- several whole peppercorns - 1 item
How to make barbecue ribs:
Trim excess fat from approximately 7 pounds of beef or pork ribs; sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper to taste. Add Crisco or oil to large pot and brown ribs. Add enough water to cover meat and onion, vinegar, salt and whole peppercorns. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 1 hour. Drain water and place ribs on hot outdoor grill.
