Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- nuts - 1 c
- sour milk - 5 Tbsp
- very ripe bananas, mashed - 1 c
How to make banana nut bread:
Cream together shortening and sugar; add well mashed bananas. Beat in eggs, salt, soda, flour, sour milk and vanilla; mix well. Add nuts and stir only enough to mix through mixture. Pour into 2 small or 1 large loaf pan. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes at 350°.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Yeast breads.
