Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 12 oz
  • water - 1/4 c
  • margarine or butter - 1 Tbsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
  • chopped onion - 1 c
  • chopped green pepper - 1 c
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
  • dried oregano - 2 tsp
  • can sliced mushrooms - 4 oz
  • cream of mushroom soup - 1 c
  • can sliced ripe olives, drained
  • ground meat, browned and drained - 1 lb
  • can tomatoes and juice, cut up - 2 oz

How to make baked spaghetti:

In a large skillet, saute onion and green pepper in margarine until tender. Add tomatoes, mushrooms, olives and oregano. Add ground meat. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.

Place 1/2 cooked spaghetti in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch buttered casserole. Top with half of meat mixture. Sprinkle with 1 cup Cheddar cheese. Repeat layer.

Mix soup and water until smooth and pour over casserole. Sprinkle on Parmesan cheese. Bake uncovered at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes until hot and bubbly. Serves 12.
