Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt
- water - 1 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- celery, diced - 1 c
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- can tomatoes, mashed - 1 item
- Minute tapioca - 3 Tbsp
- lean stew meat, cooked - 2 lb
- to 5 potatoes, quartered - 4 item
- slice white bread - 1 item
- to 8 carrots, quartered - 6 item
How to make baked beef stew:
Mash tomatoes; add Minute tapioca. Tear bread into tiny pieces and add to tomatoes. Add all other ingredients. Pour into large greased casserole dish. Bake in 325° oven, covered, for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Stew.
