Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- butter or margarine - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- melted margarine - 1/2 c
- baking powder
- grated orange peel - 1/2 tsp
- beaten eggs - 2 item
- ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla yogurt - 1 c
- grated Golden Delicious apples - 1 c
How to make baked apple doughnuts:
Cinnamon Sugar Mixture:3/4 c. sugar1 tsp. ground cinnamon Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, orange peel and nutmeg. Cut in butter with pastry blender or fork. Combine apples, yogurt and eggs; stir into flour mixture. Divide and spoon into greased muffin tins. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from tin and roll in melted butter, then cinnamon-sugar mixture. Yields 2 dozen doughnuts.Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture: Combine sugar and ground cinnamon; mix well.
