Bacon-stuffed mushrooms
Ingredients/Components
- fresh mushrooms - 2 lb
- bacon slices - 8 item
- cream cheese at room temperature - 12 oz
- yellow onion, minced - 1/2 item
- grated Cheddar cheese as needed - 1 item
How to make bacon-stuffed mushrooms:
Clean mushrooms with a damp paper towel; remove and chop stems. In a skillet over medium heat, fry bacon until brown. Remove bacon to paper towels and leave a small amount of grease in skillet. Add onion and chopped stems and cook until tender. Add crumbled bacon and the cream cheese to the mixture and stir to melt. Stuff mushroom caps with the mixture and cover with some Cheddar cheese.
