Applesauce puffs
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/4 c
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
- biscuit mix - 2 c
- applesauce unsweetened - 1/2 c
How to make applesauce puffs:
Combine biscuit mix, the first 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Add applesauce, milk, egg and oil. Beat vigorously for 30 seconds. Fill greased muffin pans two-thirds full. Bake at 400° for 12 minutes or until golden. Cool slightly and remove from pans. Mix the second 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Dip muffin tops in melted butter, then in sugar-cinnamon mixture.Recipe categories: Fruit, Breakfast, Apple.
