Applesauce nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- jar applesauce - 1 oz
- salad oil - 1/3 c
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 3 Tbsp
- flour - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- chopped pecans, divided - 1 c
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
How to make applesauce nut bread:
Combine sugar, applesauce, oil, eggs and milk; mix well. Combine flour, soda, baking powder, salt, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and nutmeg. Add to sugar mixture, stirring well. Stir in 3/4 cup pecans. Spoon batter into loaf pan. Combine brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/4 cup chopped pecans; sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Cover loosely with aluminum foil the last 30 minutes of baking time. Cool on rack.Recipe categories: Low protein, Breads, Very low carbs.
