Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 1 c
- firmly packed brown sugar - 1 c
- ground nutmeg - 1/8 tsp
- ice cream - 1 item
- can pie-sliced apples - 1 oz
How to make apple pie with candied crust:
Spread apples evenly in a 9-inch heat-resistant glass pie plate. Combine dry ingredients and cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Top with ice cream before serving.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
