- eggs - 3 item
- milk - 1/3 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- oil
- shredded coconut - 1 c
- self-rising flour
- chopped walnuts or pecans - 1 c
- medium apples, peeled, cored and chopped - 2 item
- Add flour, a little at a time, until batter is still
How to make apple cake:
Blend eggs, oil and sugar until creamy. Add flour, a little at a time, until batter is still. Fold in apples, coconut and nuts. Pour in a greased and floured tube pan; bake in a preheated 350° oven for 1 hour. Remove from pan after about 30 minutes.Topping:1/2 stick butter1/2 c. brown sugar1/3 c. milk Mix in saucepan; boil 3 minutes and pour over cake while warm.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Breads.
