Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- buttermilk - 2 c
- vegetable shortening - 1/2 c
- self-rising flour - 5 c
- dry yeast, mixed with 1/4 c - 1 pkg
How to make angel biscuits:
Mix dry ingredients. Add milk and yeast mixture. Knead. Roll out on floured board; cut into biscuits. Let stand 15 minutes to rise. Bake in a 475° oven for 15 minutes, or until done. Note: This dough keeps well in refrigerator up to 3 days iRecipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
