Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- buttermilk - 2 c
- shortening - 1 c
- self-rising flour - 5 c
- dry yeast, softened in 1/4 cup warm water - 1 pkg
How to make angel biscuits:
Thoroughly combine all ingredients. Roll out on floured surface. Cut into biscuits. Place on well-greased cookie sheet. Let rise 5 minutes. Bake at 475° until golden brown.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
