  • soda - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 2 c
  • self-rising flour - 5 c
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • warm water - 1/4 c
  • yeast - 2 pkg

How to make angel biscuits:

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix all other ingredients. Add yeast; mix well. Cover and chill. Roll and cut like biscuits; let rise. Bake at 400° until done.
