Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 2 c
- baking powder - 1 Tbsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- plain flour - 5 c
- warm water - 1 tsp
- yeast - 1 pkg
How to make angel biscuits:
Mix all dry ingredients; dissolve yeast in the warm water. Mix with dry ingredients. Add all other ingredients. Roll out on floured board and cut into biscuits. Place in pan, making sure each biscuit touches the other. Brush with melted butter. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
