Almond butter crunch
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- butter or margarine - 1 c
- light corn syrup - 1 Tbsp
- finely chopped toasted almonds - 1/2 c
- coarsely chopped toasted almonds - 1/2 c
- milk chocolate, chopped - 4 oz
How to make almond butter crunch:
Melt butter in pan. Add sugar; stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves, then add 3 tablespoons water and corn syrup. Cook until 290°, about 12 minutes. Remove from heat. Quickly add coarse nuts. Spread on buttered baking sheet. Immediately sprinkle chocolate over top; let stand a few minutes, then spread evenly. Sprinkle with fine nuts. Chill until firm; break into pieces.
