  • box yellow cake mix - 1 item
  • stick soft margarine, not melted - 1 item
  • egg - 1 item
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • powdered sugar - 3/4 lb
  • vanilla - 1 tsp

How to make ugly cake:

Mix by hand the cake mix, margarine and 1 egg. Pour mixture into 9 x 13-inch pan. Scatter pecans over mixture and press. Mix together cream cheese, 2 eggs, powdered sugar and vanilla. Fold in chocolate chips and pour over mixture on top of other layer. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes, until center is golden brown. Cut into squares when cool.
