- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- chocolate chips - 1 (16
- Kraft caramels - 1 pkg
- pecans - 1/2 c
- box German chocolate cake mix - 1 item
How to make turtle cake:
Mix German chocolate cake mix according to package. Pour half of the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until done.While cake is baking, melt margarine, milk and caramels. When cake is done, pour caramel mixture over it. Sprinkle over this the chopped pecans and chocolate chips. Pour remaining batter over all this. Return to oven and bake 20 more minutes or until done. Cool completely before cutting.
