Ingredients/Components
- sticks butter or margarine - 2 item
- brown sugar - 3/4 c
- chocolate chips - 12 oz
- saltine crackers - 1 item
How to make toffee bars:
Line 10 1/2 x 15-inch cookie sheet with foil. Cover with a single layer of saltines. Melt butter or margarine in a saucepan and add the brown sugar. Boil for 3 minutes. Pour over saltines. Bake at 350° for 5 minutes. Pour chocolate chips over while still hot and let melt. Spread until smooth. Place in freezer until hard.
