Taco salad
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- tomatoes, chopped - 2 item
- taco seasoning mix - 1 pkg
- bunch green onions, chopped - 1 item
- jar salsa - 1 oz
- ground beef or turkey - 1 lb
- shredded Cheddar - 2 c
- avocados, peeled and chopped - 2 item
- can pitted black olives, sliced - 1 item
- bag Dole salad mix - 3 lb
- small bag taco chips, crushed - 1 item
- red kidney beans optional - 1 c
How to make taco salad:
Brown meat; drain. Add seasoning mix and simmer 15 to 20 minutes; set aside.In large bowl combine lettuce, avocados, olives, cheese, onions, tomatoes and beans. After meat has cooled, add to other ingredients and toss thoroughly. Pour on salsa and toss again. Place crushed chips on plates. Top with salad, then a dollop of sour cream. Serves 10.
