Ingredients/Components
- 8 oz - 2 c
- shredded lettuce - 1 item
- chopped tomato - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- taco seasoning mix - 1 pkg
- can refried beans - 1 oz
- jar taco sauce - 1 oz
- tortilla chips, crushed - 12 item
- deep dish pie crust frozen type - 1 item
How to make taco pie:
Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 400°. Thaw pie crust 10 minutes. Prick bottom of pie crust with fork. Bake shell for 10 minutes on cookie sheet. Reduce oven to 350°. In skillet cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned. Drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning mix to meat according to package. In small bowl combine beans and 1/3 cup taco sauce; mix well. Layer half of bean mixture in bottom of pie crust. Top with seasoned meat, 1 cup cheese and nacho chips. Repeat layers. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Remove from oven. Top with lettuce and tomato.
