Sweet roll dough
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- water - 1/2 Tbsp
- sifted flour
- warm water - 1/2 c
- soft shortening - 1/2 c
- lukewarm milk
- pecans or walnuts - 1/2 c
- active dry yeast stir in - 2 pkg
- Add remaining flour
How to make sweet roll dough:
Mix warm water, yeast, lukewarm milk, sugar, salt, shortening and half of the flour well. Add remaining flour. Rise about 1 1/2 hours. Punch down and let rise again.Topping:1/3 c. melted butter1/2 c. brown sugar1/2 Tbsp. water1/2 c. pecans or walnuts Cook butter and brown sugar over low heat until everything is melted. Add 1/2 cup of pecans or walnuts. Put in pan and then add rolls. Bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
