Sweet bread dough
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- milk
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 6 to
- margarine or butter - 1/2 c
- active dry yeast - 2 pkg
- warm water 110~ to 115~ - 1/2 c
How to make sweet bread dough:
Stir yeast into warm water and 1 teaspoon sugar. In a large bowl, heat milk, margarine, 1/2 cup sugar and salt to about 110°. Add yeast. Beat in about 2 cups flour and add eggs (room temperature). Beat in as much remaining flour as possible. Continue to add remainder gradually, kneading 8 to 10 minutes. Place dough in a large greased bowl. Cover and let rise in warm place (85°) until doubled. Punch down. Turn out on a lightly floured surface. May be used for cinnamon rolls, caramel rolls, buns or 2 loaves of bread.Recipe categories: Desserts, Breads, Yeast breads.
