Sweet and sour pork
Ingredients/Components
- cornstarch - 1/2 c
- water - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- salad oil
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- clove garlic, minced or pressed - 1 item
- small tomatoes, cut into wedges - 2 item
- canned pineapple chunks, drained - 1/2 c
- few drops liquid hot pepper seasoning - 1 item
- slice fresh ginger - 1 item
- lean boneless pork butt, cut into 1-inch cubes - 1/2 1
- Sweet-Sour Sauce recipe follows - 1 item
- medium size onion, cut into wedges, with layers separated - 1 item
- Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes
- each: cornstarch, catsup and soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- each: sugar and wine vinegar - 1/4 c
How to make sweet and sour pork:
Place pork, water, ginger and soy in a pan; bring to a boil over high heat. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Drain and let cool. Prepare Sweet-Sour Sauce and set aside. Beat egg in a small bowl. Place cornstarch in a bag. Dip pork cubRecipe categories: Pineapple, Main dish, Pork.
