Sweet and sour meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- ground beef - 1 lb
- soft bread crumbs - 1 c
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- minced onion - 2 Tbsp
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- Brown in vegetable oil and drain
- red currant jelly - 2/3 c
How to make sweet and sour meatballs:
Combine first 8 ingredients. Brown in vegetable oil and drain.Sauce:2/3 c. chili sauce2/3 c. red currant jelly Combine chili sauce and jelly. Pour over meatballs. Heat, stirring occasionally, until jelly is melted. Simmer 10 to 12 minutes until sauce has thickened. Baste occasionally. Yields 40 meatballs.Recipe categories: Pineapple, Main dish, Ground beef.
