Ingredients/Components
- packed brown sugar
- milk - 1/4 1/2
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- vinegar - 1/3 1/2
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- chopped onions - 2 Tbsp
- hamburger - 1 lb
- dry bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- Worcestershire - 1/2 tsp
- small green pepper, coarsely chopped - 1 item
- can pineapple chunks with syrup - 1 1/4
How to make sweet and sour meatballs:
Sweet And Sour Sauce:1/2 c. packed brown sugar1 Tbsp. cornstarch1 (13 1/4 oz.) can pineapple chunks with syrup1/3 to 1/2 c. vinegar1 Tbsp. soy sauce1 small green pepper, coarsely chopped Mix brown sugar and cornstarch in skillet. Stir in pineapple (with syrup), vinegar and soy sauce. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Reduce heat; add meatballs. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes. Stir in green pepper, cover and simmer until tender (5 to 10 minutes). Serve over rice.Recipe categories: Pineapple, Main dish, Ground beef.
