Sukiyaki
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- shortening - 1 Tbsp
- soy sauce - 1/3 c
- can sliced water chestnuts - 1 item
- bean sprouts - 1/2 lb
- fresh mushrooms, sliced - 1/2 lb
- celery, sliced - 1/2 c
- small bunch green onions, chopped - 1 item
- bouillon - 1/4 c
- round steak, cut into strips - 3/4 lb
How to make sukiyaki:
Preheat browning skillet 4 minutes in microwave oven. Melt shortening in skillet. Brown meat strips. Arrange meat in center; put sliced vegetables around the outside of meat strips. Combine sugar, soy sauce and bouillon and pour over meat and vegetables. Cook on High 6 to 8 minutes. Vegetables will be tender, but crisp. Serve with rice.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Stew.
