Ingredients/Components
- to 6 medium green peppers - 5 item
- brown rice, cooked - 3/4 c
- lean ground beef - 1 lb
- medium chopped onion - 1 item
- can tomato sauce - 8 oz
- basil - 1/4 tsp
- oregano - 1/4 tsp
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- instant beef bouillon - 1/2 tsp
How to make stuffed green peppers:
Remove tops and seeds from peppers. Cook peppers 5 minutes in boiling water. Remove; drain. Brown beef and onion; drain. Add tomato sauce, herbs, salt and pepper. Cook 5 minutes. Stir in rice. Stuff peppers. Place upright in shallow baking dish. Bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes. (Leftover peppers freeze well.)Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Beef.
