  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • water - 1 c
  • cornstarch or flour - 2 Tbsp
  • light Karo - 2 Tbsp

How to make strawberry glaze:

Cook over low heat until thick and clear (10 minutes). Color with red food coloring. Add sliced strawberries when cool. Pour on cake.
