Spiced peaches
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- stick cinnamon - 1 item
- whole cloves - 1 tsp
- canned unsweetened peach halves - 8 item
- juice from the peaches - 1 c
How to make spiced peaches:
Combine the vinegar, the juice from the peaches, sugar, cinnamon and cloves. Boil until reduced by about half. Remove the spices. Stick the cloves into the peach halves and pour the syrup over peaches. Let stand overnight in the refrigerator.Use this method of pickling with pears or peaches. Serve with baked ham or as part of fruit salad.
