Spanish rice
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- shortening - 1/3 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
- chopped green pepper - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- minced onion - 1 item
- tomatoes and juice
- dried celery - 1 c
- rice, washed and dried - 1 c
How to make spanish rice:
Melt the shortening in a heavy skillet. Brown the onion and garlic. Add meat and brown. Add the green pepper, celery, tomatoes and seasonings. Cover and cook until steaming at high heat.
