Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 item
- flour
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- dairy sour cream - 1 c
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- margarine - 1 item
- dill weed - 2 tsp
- small onion, minced - 1 item
- active dry yeast - 1 pkg
How to make sour cream dill bread:
Soften margarine and yeast in large mixing bowl. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon margarine and next 6 ingredients. Then add half the flour and beat well. Add enough more flour to make a stiff dough. Turn out on lightly floured board and knead 5 to 10 turns. Put back in bowl and let rise in warm place until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour. Shape into two loaves. Put each in greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Let rise 30 to 40 minutes. Bake in 350° oven for 40 minutes.
