Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1 c
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- eggs, separated - 3 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- carton sour cream - 1 oz
- all-purpose flour
How to make sour cream coffee cake:
Combine butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar, creaming until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks; beat well. Stir in sour cream. Combine flour, baking powder and soda; add to creamed mixture, stir until combined. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into batter. Pour mixture into greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle sugar, cinnamon and nuts over batter. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
